Love the way you spun it, and I'm sure there's some group of people you'd be able to convince with just the first half. It really tapps in to that innate fear of isolation and the weird unknown

thank you, that’s exactly what I was going for/the inspiration for the piece. I love reading about “true” encounters with the supernatural, and I feel like I’ve always been able to tell when someone had a real experience and when they were just making shit up. I wondered how I could believe in someone’s account of encountering something I don’t believe in. But having had my own experience and later discovery of what I actually encountered, I understand that people can have “real” encounters with the supernatural. The creature just only exists in the moment that a person encounters it, and only in their mind. I’m sure people smarter than me will some day figure out what exactly ghosts are.

Ha, I went through so many emotions reading this! At first, I thought you were twisting my chain... then I watched the video and got pretty spooked, especially after seeing the bunker (I am inclined to agree there COULD be the supernatural in our world, and I just haven't personally seen it yet). And then, reading the ending, I felt both relief and disappointment. I also showed the video to my fiancé, who hunts deer, and he also said it sounded like an aggressive deer (he is NOT inclined to believe in anything supernatural). Isolation really can change things! I can't imagine seeing and hearing that on my own in the woods.

That video has freaked out so many people, including some die hard sceptics. A friend and I used it for a found footage horror project that we ended up cancelling because it attracted too many crazies.

I had the same experience when the mystery clicked for me. The world was suddenly a bit less magical again.

Yes! But the magical moments are only magical because they’re not common 😝so enjoy them while they last!
