Same. I’m sure I’ve seen the word before but havn’t registered it because I didn’t have the context for what it meant. I’ve noticed that when I look into the history of a weird word I’ll start to notice that it’s a lot more common than I thought

100%! Learning about the origin of words is so fascinating. I grew up an avid reader but it wasn’t until I read game of thrones and reached a passage that said something like “she broke her fast with bread…” that I even realized where the world “breakfast” came from!! It blew my mind
